High Voltage Outdoor Disconnect Switch with Load Break Isolator Design
Product Description

(H)GWBEB type outdoor high-voltage isolation switch, often referred to as an isolation disconnect switch, is expertly engineered for 10(12, 15, 24)kV high voltage power transmission and distribution lines. Its purpose is to skillfully open and close single-phase or three-phase circuits without any load, while voltage is still present.

Tailored for single-phase utilization in three-phase line systems, this switch stands out with its straightforward structure, economic efficiency, and user-friendly operation. It comes in diverse rated currents such as 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1250 amps. The switch is composed of a base, post insulators, conductive components, and a meticulously designed mechanical section. The circuit is alternated using a gate knife structure; each phase features a gate knife with two conductive blades, and it is equipped with external compression springs on each side. By adjusting the spring height, the necessary contact pressure for the gate knife is achieved. The switch operation employs an insulated hook stick for both opening and closing tasks and is reinforced with a self-locking device for enhanced safety.

Working Environment:

Altitude limitation: should not exceed 1000 meters;

Ambient temperature: should not rise above +40°C or fall below -30°C;

Maximum outdoor wind speed: must not surpass 35 meters/second;

Seismic intensity: should not exceed 8 degrees; the installation site must be free from regular severe vibrations.

The installation area must be clear of gases, chemical deposits, salt mist, dust, dirt, or any other explosive or corrosive agents that could severely compromise the switch's insulation and conduction properties.

Installation, Use and Adjustment

Pre-installation work

  1. Ensure all components are free of dust and dirt, and meticulously clean the surface of the insulating porcelain bottle for optimal performance.
  2. Scrub and clean the wiring surface of the ground screw to ensure excellent connectivity.
  3. Apply a protective layer of industrial Vaseline to all rotating parts and contact areas to enhance durability and performance.
  4. Inspect the contact surface and adjust the compression spring height to ensure the contact pressure aligns with the specifications in Table II.
  5. This switch is exclusively designed for lifting use, perfectly complementing the transformer on the line.
  6. The switch has a rated current spanning 200-400 ampere hours, typically utilizing three mounting holes, while 600-1000A deployments also employ three mounting holes for secure installation.

Perform an annual check-up of these switch components:
Thoroughly clean dirt from conductive components, contact surfaces, and the insulating porcelain bottle surface, ensuring optimal functionality.

Inspect all components meticulously for damage, with special emphasis on verifying the insulating porcelain bottle for any signs of damage or cracks.

Ensure the contact surfaces of conductive parts remain in excellent condition to maintain reliable operation.
