Product Description

Introducing the (H)GWBEB series, an outdoor high-voltage isolation switch that is also revered as an isolation disconnect switch. This remarkable switch is specifically engineered for application on 10(12, 15, 24)kV high voltage power transmission and distribution lines. Its primary function is to seamlessly open and close single-phase or three-phase circuits without any load, yet with voltage present, making it an indispensable asset for modern electrical systems.

Our isolation switch is masterfully crafted for single-phase utilization within three-phase line systems. It boasts an exceptionally simple structure, making it not only cost-effective but also incredibly user-friendly. Available in an impressive range of rated currents—200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1250 amps—this versatile switch comprises a solid base, robust post insulators, conductive components, and a mechanical section. At its core lies a gate knife structure for optimal circuit management, featuring dual conductive blades for each phase, along with external compression springs. By adjusting the spring height, the switch achieves the optimal contact pressure for its gate knife. The switch operation is effortlessly managed with an insulated hook stick and is further enhanced by a self-locking device to ensure secure and reliable functionality.

Working Environment:

Designed for altitudes not exceeding 1000 meters, ensuring optimal performance.

Engineered to endure ambient temperatures with a maximum of +40°C and a minimum of -30°C, maintaining stability across a wide temperature range.

Capable of withstanding outdoor wind speeds of up to 35 meters/second, demonstrating outstanding resilience to environmental elements.

Built to handle seismic intensities up to 8 degrees, this switch is ideal for installation sites that do not frequently experience severe vibrations.

The installation environment must be free from gases, chemical deposits, salt mist, dust, dirt, or any explosive or corrosive substances that could compromise the switch's insulation and conductivity performance.

Installation, Use and Adjustment

Pre-installation work

  1. Start by meticulously eliminating dust and dirt from all components, paying particular attention to the surface of the insulating porcelain bottles to ensure pristine condition.
  2. Thoroughly clean the wiring surface of the ground screw to guarantee optimal electrical connectivity.
  3. Apply a generous layer of industrial Vaseline to the rotating parts and contact areas, safeguarding them against wear and enhancing smooth operation.
  4. Inspect and fine-tune the contact surface, adjusting the compression spring height meticulously to ensure the contact pressure aligns perfectly with Table II specifications.
  5. This switch is exclusively designed for hoisting applications and is best used in conjunction with a transformer on the line, further amplifying its utility and efficiency.
  6. The switch's rated current spans 200-400 ampere hours, typically utilizing three mounting holes. For 600-1000A applications, three mounting holes are consistently employed, ensuring secure and stable installations.

Annual maintenance is crucial to ensure longevity and performance. Conduct a thorough check of the following switch components each year:
First, meticulously cleanse all dirt from conductive parts, contact surfaces, and the insulating porcelain bottle to maintain optimal electrical performance.

Next, inspect each component for any signs of damage, with particular attention given to the integrity of the insulating porcelain bottle for any cracks or fractures.

Finally, verify the integrity of the contact surface on the conductive parts to confirm they remain in good condition, ensuring continued reliability and efficiency.
