Incorporating a specially developed valve plate and expertly optimized core parameters, our arrester is engineered to withstand arc grounding, PT resonance, and a range of operating overvoltages with unwavering reliability. It is designed to endure line voltage, as well as 2.5 to 3 times the power frequency overvoltage, comfortably surpassing international voltage withstand standards by 1 to 3 orders of magnitude. Installation

(1) Prior to installation, ensure the nameplate details and system rated voltage of the arrester align with those at the installation site;

(2) Offers flexibility with options for suspension or vertical installation. It’s crucial to remember that in vertical installations, the arrester should not function as a load-bearing support insulator;

(3) Optimize protection by keeping lead wires short while avoiding unnecessary tension that may impose stress on the arrester.

Test

  • To enhance operational knowledge, conduct preventive tests every 4-5 years. The key test involves measuring U1mA at both ends of the DC 1mA arrester.
  • Ensure that the U1mA voltage recorded prior to installation is no less than 97% of its factory-calibrated value.
  • During preventive tests, the U1mA voltage should measure at least 26kV.
  • Note: Minimize harmonic components in the DC power supply during testing for accurate U1mA readings. Poor waveforms can lead to low measurements.
