  2. Designed with robust engineering, the core exhibits an exceptional capacity to handle internal overvoltage with outstanding aging resistance. This ensures long-term reliability and performance, even under challenging conditions.

Installation

(1) Ensure thorough verification of the nameplate before installation. The rated voltage of the arrester must align with the voltage system at the installation site;

(2) Versatile in installation, suitable for both suspension and vertical methods. However, when positioned vertically, the arrester should not serve as a load-bearing support insulator;

(3) Optimize the lead wire length to enhance protection efficacy. The wire should not be overly taut to prevent undue stress on the arrester.

Test

  • In pursuit of operational excellence, preventive tests are advisable every 4-5 years, focusing on measuring U1mA at both the upper and lower ends of the DC 1mA arrester.
  • Before installation, ensure that the U1mA voltage is not less than 97% of its factory-set value and thoroughly document the reading.
  • During preventive tests, the U1mA voltage should consistently measure no less than 26kV.
  • Note: Minimize the harmonic components in the DC power supply during testing for optimal results. Poor waveform quality can result in lower U1mA measurements.
