(2) Provides adaptability with options for either suspension or vertical installation. If choosing vertical installation, the arrester should not function as a load-bearing insulator;

(3) Confirm the lead wire is optimally sized to maintain protection efficiency and prevent unnecessary stress on the equipment.

Test

  • lTo enhance operational reliability, periodic preventive tests every 4-5 years are recommended. Focus should be on measuring U1mA at both DC 1mA arrester terminals.
  • lPrior to installation, check that the U1mA voltage is at least 97% of the original factory value and accurately record this data for future reference.
