Installation
(1) Prior to installation, carefully check the nameplate to ensure that the arrester's system rated voltage aligns perfectly with the system voltage at the point of installation.
(2) Offers versatile installation options, including suspension or vertical mounting. For vertical installations, ensure the arrester is not utilized as a load-supporting insulator for optimal safety.
(3) Optimize the lead wire length to maximize protection efficiency and minimize any undue strain on the equipment.
Test
- To bolster operational reliability, conduct thorough preventive tests every 4-5 years, focusing on accurately measuring U1mA at both terminals of the DC 1mA arrester.
- Prior to installation, confirm that the U1mA voltage is at least 97% of the original factory value, and meticulously document this vital data for future reference.
- During preventive maintenance, verify that the U1mA voltage consistently remains above 26kV, ensuring continued protection.
- Note: During tests, minimize harmonic components in the DC power supply to prevent low U1mA readings caused by suboptimal waveforms.
