Product Description

The (H)GWBEB type outdoor high-voltage isolation switch, also widely recognized as an isolation disconnect switch, represents a pinnacle of engineering designed for operation on 10(12, 15, 24)kV high voltage power transmission and distribution lines. This switch is adept at opening and closing circuits across single-phase or three-phase setups without load, yet with voltage present, ensuring seamless and reliable energy management.

Expertly crafted for single-phase application within three-phase line systems, this switch stands out with its straightforward structure, economical design, and user-friendly functionality. It is available in a diverse range of rated currents: 200, 400, 600, 800, 1000, and 1250 amps, accommodating various operational needs. The switch's architecture is comprised of a robust base, durable post insulators, efficient conductive parts, and an innovative mechanical section. Utilizing a gate knife structure for circuit operations, each phase's gate knife features two conductive blades and is equipped with external compression springs on both sides. By adjusting the spring height, optimal contact pressure is achieved for the switch's gate knife. The operation is facilitated by an insulated hook stick, enabling smooth opening and closing, and it also includes a reliable self-locking device for enhanced security.

Working Environment:

Designed for installations at altitudes not exceeding 1000 meters;

Operable in ambient temperatures with a maximum of +40°C and a minimum of -30°C;

Capable of withstanding outdoor wind speeds up to 35 meters per second;

Resilient against seismic intensities not exceeding 8 degrees; the installation site should remain free from frequent severe vibrations.

The installation setting should remain devoid of gases, chemical deposits, salt mist, dust, dirt, or other explosive or corrosive environments that could severely compromise the switch's insulation and conductivity.

Installation, Use and Adjustment

Pre-installation work

  1. Meticulously clean the components by removing dust and dirt, and carefully wipe down the surface of the insulating porcelain bottle to ensure optimal performance.
  2. Thoroughly scrub the wiring surface of the ground screw to maintain connectivity.
  3. Apply a protective layer of industrial Vaseline to the rotating parts and contact areas to ensure smooth operations and longevity.
  4. Inspect the contact surfaces and adjust the compression spring's height to adhere to the standards specified in Table II, ensuring consistent contact pressure.
  5. This switch is engineered exclusively for hoisting applications and is intended for use in conjunction with transformers on the line, providing enhanced operational synergy.
  6. With a rated current of 200-400 ampere hours, this switch typically utilizes three mounting holes. For currents between 600-1000A, it also employs three mounting holes, ensuring stable installation.

Annual maintenance checklist for the switch's optimal performance:
Diligently remove any dirt from conductive parts, contact surfaces, and the insulating porcelain bottle's surface to maintain efficiency.

Thoroughly inspect all components for damage, placing special emphasis on checking the insulating porcelain bottle for any damage or cracks.

Ensure the contact surface of each conductive part is in exemplary condition, confirming the switch's reliability.
